We do have a standard template that can be added to your control panel by our support staff. All that is needed is that you request it.

tommaak,
The dot you are referring to is the place holder for your main page picture. You are seeing this because the main page picture is added in the text editing box. As Gail mentioned...adding the main page picture from the Main Page Picture drop down box will correct this.

What you are referring to is creating and adding a logo to the top of your website. Here are some instructions for you. It's actually something you can create yourself in Photoshop.

1. Create a jpg of your logo in the size that you wish it to appear and using the same background color as the site style you selected.

Regarding our recommendation for size... this is difficult as height will vary depending on design. But for starters we are suggesting 600 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall.

It is important to note that although your logo may have a transparent background in your Photoshop psd file WHEN you save it as a .jpg file (in order to be able to upload the file to your FASO software); your photo editing software will always add a white background to the .jpg file unless otherwise specified.

You will need to add the correct background color to your file and then save as a .jpg file before uploading.

Your current background color is black - 000000

2. Your logo image will need to be the correct size when you upload it, as the 'logo feature' uses the full size image.

Regarding our recommendation for size, this is difficult as height will vary depending on design. But for starters we are suggesting 600 pixels wide and 100 pixels tall. If the first image you upload does not fit well, you can always remove it and upload a second image of a different size.

LOGO TO REPLACE NAVIGATION HEADING (this is your name at top of website)

This option places your logo at the very top of your website, replacing your current Navigation Bar Heading. If you still want your Navigation Bar Header to show, you have 2 options:

a) Add it to your logo before uploading the logo, or

b) Add it to your site style description:

1. Login to Control Panel
2. Click MY ADMINISTRATION INFO
3. Click "Other Advanced Odds and Ends"
4. For "Site Description," enter your Navigation Heading text
5. Click "Save Changes"
6. Click "Save Changes" again

-------------------

HOW TO ADD LOGO IMAGE:

*Upload your logo to Image to Images Other Than Artwork.

1. Login to Control Panel
2. Click MY ADMINISTRATION INFO
3. Click "Other Advanced Odds and Ends"
4. For "Logo" (near lower part of page), select your logo from the drop-down menu
5. Click "Save Changes"
6. Click "Save Changes" again

Again, keep in mind that the system will place your logo the exact size as you've uploaded it.

DU,
Was reading your question about photographing your art. I thought the following links might just be helpful.

These are good articles on Photographing Oil Paintings and the struggle to avoid getting glare or reflection from the brush strokes.

I found this article in one of Clint's email newsletters about photographing your own paintings:

These articles are written by one of our very own artists Dreama Tolle Perry...Here's a link to her blog with photos of her photo setup.

Welcome aboard Kathleen...What you are viewing is an empty website template. The pages will expand as you add text and upload your images.

As Gail mentioned there are several templates to choose from. Each show the various category pages a bit differently.

It is good to add some text to your about page and upload a few images to your portfolio then begin checking out the different templates and color combination's. Until you have added text and pictures the different templates are just empty pages.

Happy creating
